this album was the result of a series of rehearsals at home before the final ['ramp] concert in its original line-up in february 2007. i recorded those tracks on my own in order to find out how to structure the concert and how to approach sound design -- some of the titles took on a life of their own and turned out to be fairly unique-sounding, like e. g. the title track.

due to time constraints, i had to limit the playing time of the individual tracks in order to get them all onto one single cdr -- here, you will find slightly longer renditions of the single tracks thanks to the unlimited (well, almost) playing time of a download album.

"the universe is a haunted" house was also recorded as a textural backdrop for the concert at roughly the same time but ultimately, it wasn't used. i hope you will enjoy this spooky little ditty.
