about

Recorded during a session at my Electronic Junkyard in Moers in January 2001, "Blasters" was a considerably longer improvisation which was condensed into something like six minutes. It starts with Klaus playing some riffs on the Yamaha CS80, trying to find his way round this behemoth instrument while I was manually playing some rhythm sequencer stuff on the Mini Moog, trying to adjust my timing to both Klaus´ playing and the digital delay lines. The sequences were played manually and tweaked in realtime and, after some minor adjustments, they worked really well. In addition to Klaus improvising melodies and chords on the CS80 using its ribbon controller, I added some string chords on the Roland VP330.
