about

Also recorded at the Electronic Junkyard, but this time a month or two later in March 2001, shortly before I moved to my new premises in Herne, called The Dark Room. Apologies for some distorted Mini Moog bass at the beginning but this one was also improvised right from the start, with me playing some massive chords on the Korg Polyphonic Ensemble 2000 - one of the spookiest-sounding synthesisers I´ve ever heard -, some right-hand improvisations on the Rhodes piano, plus a little bit of Yamaha CS80 and Roland Vocoder Plus thrown in. Klaus was enjoying himself playing bass drones and sound effects on the Mini Moog. Towards the end it fades into a rather wild freak-out section that was played entirely on the Mini Moog doing EMS-like noises, and the Yamaha CS80 which sounds slightly reminiscent of Klaus Schulze´s "Dune" album.
